Habitat for Bees, Plants and Animals
In the garden described above, which is also home to the bee colonies, mowing takes place only twice a year. The aim is to ensure that the bees have a nearby meadow where they can forage. Furthermore, by refraining from mowing, new habitats are created for native plant, insect, and animal species. As more and more land is sealed in urban environments, native animals and insects are increasingly displaced from their natural habitats. It is therefore all the more important to provide them with a habitat, which we create byallowing the garden to grow wild. Naturally, we refrain from using chemicals or similar environmentally harmful substances.
